Dear Members,
As news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, the Board of Directors of the Economic Club unanimously voted to postpone the Florida Economic Forum. You should have received an email notice of this postponement already. There will be no weekly meeting on March 16, 2020.
The health and safety of our membership, our guests, our speakers and their families is of the utmost importance to us during this challenging time, and every day. The Board would like you to know how ECOT is handling these uncertain times. As of today, we will continue with our weekly luncheons, starting March 23rd . We will continue to closely monitor the ongoing situation and remain responsive in terms of doing the right thing for our membership and for containment efforts. We will provide an immediate update if the weekly meeting schedule changes, by email, website and Facebook.
Please remember the CDC guidelines for your well-being and that of those around you. We ask that all who have been exposed to COVID-19 or are not feeling well NOT to attend our luncheon or other meetings, to ensure the safety of all our participants. Those who are at high risk due to age or compromised immune systems are encouraged to seriously consider staying home from our meetings until the situation changes. Those who do choose to attend do so at their own risk. It must be an individual decision. We will be working with Jackson’s to do everything possible to minimize the risk.
