Susan A. MacManus, Ph.D. – two-time COSSPP Alum (B.A. Political Science ‘68 and Ph.D. Political Science ‘75) – has been honored by numerous publications for her work as a prominent political scientist.
MacManus has served at numerous institutions and universities before retiring from the University of South Florida in 2018 as a Distinguished University Professor. She currently serves as the political analyst for Tampa’s WFTS-TV (ABC Action News) where she breaks down the world of Florida politics for viewers. -

Mr. Weaver has handled hundreds of permitting and zoning cases, Comprehensive Plan amendments; major transportation, comprehensive plan and property rights analyses, advocacies, or settlements for major resorts, office buildings, general retail, planned communities, regional malls, and mixed use communities. His representation includes Florida, California, and Nevada developers and government entities on concurrency, property rights and state and federal funding projects, including a $1.3 billion roadway, a $56 million people mover, city redevelopment and downtown plans, proportionate fair share agreements and property rights; as well as wetlands mitigation agreements and credits, sea level rise issues and eminent domain issues, and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Tampa Bay Real Estate Hall of Fame.

Hillsborough County Administrator Bonnie M. Wise is a longtime public servant with extensive experience in executive leadership, public finance, and municipal bonds. Appointed County Administrator in 2020, Bonnie leads a diverse county with 1.5 million residents, more than 5,000 employees, and an annual budget of over $9 billion. Bonnie advocates for an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration among County employees, public- and private-sector stakeholders, and the broader community with her mantra of “one team, one county, and one community.”
