Dr. Anthony Pizzo, MD Cosmetic, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

Anthony J. Pizzo, MD, a Tampa native, has work in private practice as a plastic surgeon for 35 years. He is a graduate of Jesuit High School, Emory University and the University of Florida, College of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency in surgery at Stanford University Hospital, Dr. Pizzo continued a residency in plastic surgery at the Institute of Plastic Surgery of St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco to then become a member of The American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1978.

After a rotation of cleft lip and palate surgery in Taiwan, Dr. Pizzo came back to the states to serve in the US Army as the Chief of Division of Plastic Surgery at the Letterman Army Medical Center. While in private practice in Tampa, Dr. Pizzo was a staff physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Woman’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital, and Tampa Outpatient Surgical Facility. An active member in the Tampa Bay Plastic Surgery Society (past president), and Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (past president), he was also a member of the Hillsborough County Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and a Fellow American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Pizzo is married to Julie Flom Pizzo and they have 3 children.
