Lynda Remund, President & CEO, Tampa Downtown Partnership

Serving as President and CEO for the Tampa Downtown Partnership, Lynda leads the longest operating Business Improvement District in the State of Florida and serves and supports the hundreds of business members for their 34-year-old organization.

During her twenty-one years tenure with the Partnership, she has served in many roles, becoming president and CEO in 2019 after a one-year appointment as Interim President and CEO. She leads the organizational structure, management, vision and mission, and fiscal responsibility of the Partnership, as well as establishing and executing programmatic and strategic initiatives for the growth of Tampa’s Downtown.

As former Chief Operating Officer, and Director of District Operations, her responsibilities have included the development and management of clean and safe operations, beautification and public art initiatives, membership, and events. The most impactful work she guided during this time was setting the strategic direction and management of the Downtown Special ServicesDistrict (SSD) through an annual contract with the City of Tampa, including facilitating the special assessment budget.

Since appointed President & CEO, Lynda led the expansion of the SSD boundaries for the first time since 1994, implemented a 2023 Vision Plan with four strategic initiatives to support the transformation of Tampa’s Downtown into a live-work-play-learn community.

Prior to her career at the Tampa Downtown Partnership, Lynda served as Community and EventsCoordinator for Chase Manhattan Bank; facilitating philanthropic responsibilities, and developing community programming and volunteer opportunities for 2500 employees.

She holds a SHRM-CP certification in human resources and is currently a member of the International Downtown Association, Urban Land Institute, Florida Redevelopment Association, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR Tampa, and HR Florida. She also serves on the Tampa Bay Chamber (TBC) Board of Directors, TampaPreparatory School Board of Trustees, Visit Tampa Bay Advisory Committee, University of Tampa Board of Trustees, Key Family Honorary Commander with the 927 Air Refueling Wing’sHonorary Commander Program at MacDill Air Force Base, founding member of the FloridaDowntown Association, and is a proud graduate of IDA’s 2018 Emerging Leader Fellowship (ELF) Class.

Lynda is a Tampa native and resides in Dunedin, Florida with her husband Rene. She is the proud mother to daughter Lindsay and her late son Bobby, and nana to four grandchildren.
