Mike has served as the Scout Executive of the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council since March 2022.

Mike began his Scouting career as a District Executive in the Atlanta Area Council in 1985 where he also served as Field Director, Finance Director, and Director of Finance Services. From Atlanta, Mike was selected to serve as the Scout Executive of the Old Hickory Council in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and then served as the Deputy Scout Executive for the National Capital Area Council in Bethesda, Maryland. Mike then was chosen to lead the Blue Ridge Council in Greenville, SC in 2010, followed by a role on the national staff for the Boy Scouts of America from 2019 until his selection in Tampa.

He has been a Rotarian for most of his career and was recognized as a Certified Fundraising Executive.

He is a graduate of Mars Hill University, Mars Hill, NC, where he was a member of the soccer team. He enjoys golf and other outdoor activities. Mike and his wife, Jana, are the proud parents of three grown children.
