Ron is one of Tampa’s best known legal professionals through his decades of energetic involvement in real estate, including acquisitions, financing, development and matters involving public policy, such as property rights, zoning, and environmental impact. Ron has been professionally involved in $6 billion of Florida real estate transactions in 32 counties and 62 cities. These real estate deals have included many landmark initiatives in the growth of the Tampa market and the enhancement of Tampa’s reputation for economic vitality.
Ron regularly speaks on land use issues. He has authored over 200 articles in national, regional and local law journals and professional publications. He has contributed commentaries to several leading national business periodicals and trade journals. Ron has served in leadership roles on more than a dozen high profile non-profits, educational and medical enterprises, and professional associations at the local and national levels. . He has earned both local and national professional recognition in law and real estate. He regularly leads educational seminars in areas of personal professional career development and evolving public policy. A leading international ranking organization for law professionals recently gave Ron high ratings, describing him as “thorough, strategic, very well connected.”
Weaver is an especially renowned “networker” in Tampa professional circles. Building on his long-term real estate based involvement with the Tampa Bay marketplace and with many of its highest impact leaders, Ron recently developed “An Oral History” of our city, which he presented at Tampa Bay History Center in 2019.
Ron earned his bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and his JD cum laude from Harvard Law School.
