Wesley Schlemmer is a Florida native, Chemical and Biological Engineer, and strategic consultant who has worked in the Bitcoin space for over eight years. He developed a strong foundation in science and research while studying at Tufts University before transitioning into materials engineering and later applying his technical background to startups and emerging technologies.

He is the founder of the Bitcoin Bay Foundation, the first Bitcoin meetup to incorporate as a 501(c)(3), inspiring more than a dozen other groups nationwide to follow suit. With the goal of creating a scalable model for Bitcoin education and community building, Bitcoin Bay organizes and coordinates the Bitcoin community throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area.

Expanding his impact from local to state policy, Wesley also serves as Executive Director of the Florida Blockchain and Business Association. In this role, he helped set the national standard for state-level policy through the passage of the nation’s first Anti–Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) bill. Based in Tampa, Wesley continues to work toward building a prosperous, resilient community grounded in a sound money standard.
